Mag22 at Anything and Everything had a minor complaint about some the newer "Web 2.0" sites that are open by invitation only (usually beta) and pointed the way to a site where you can get invites to some of them by participating. I was extremely lucky to get some of the invitations for the sites I use now (including Gmail when it first started).
Charity released her first public WordPress theme at Design Adaptations. She's on vacation somewhere near the Rocky Mountains right now and has some fixes to um… fix in the theme. It looks pretty good and should be available soon after she gets back.
Saman at Samanathon.com posted some pictures of the iPod store at the Dallas airport that is quite literally a vending machine. I don't know about you, but I'm getting weary of the iPod fad. When I see someone with an earphone plugged into one, I have this almost irresistible urge to yank it out. That's what I call stress!
Another programming language that I refuse to learn is Java (not JavaScript). Leo at SEORemake wrote about two rendering models used by the Java Printing API. I'm glad it's all Greek to me — although, I could probably learn the language as well as C++, I just don't want to. Note to Leo, if you see this: Your "About" page is still the WordPress default page.
Ahsan at barely average . blog wrote about a contest he entered and subsequently won. It was a contest of bad design. I read the article he pointed to and I don't agree, but apparently the author there did. Who am I to question professional designers?
Andréa wrote about how to negotiate with a retailer for a discount when buying a multifunctional printer at Consultant Journal. This was actually a follow up to a follow up and I ended up reading all three articles. The first question you have to ask yourself is, do you really need a multifunctional printer?
Char at CoachChar.com recently moved back to the Seattle, Washington area and is falling in love with the place all over again. She wrote of the weather, the local attractions and the activities she wants to be involved in. Although I'm from Phoenix, some of the things she lists strike close to home. I'm missing some of the life in the US right about now…
Jocelyn at *~Sleeping Princess~* wrote about about a tough class she attended. In a previous article, where she talked about picking up result slips for others, she described how rude some of the newer students were. Ah, college life. I dealt with that in high school but wasn't fortunate enough to go to college full time (I had eight siblings!) and to experience that kind of rudeness.
If you can get past the foul language (including the post title), Mr. Bishop at Burned by The Man wrote in his own inimitable way about how he thinks America is the greatest country in the world. I warn you: There's an incredible amount of foul language in this post as well as the rest of the site. It doesn't bother me, but it might bother you.
Shortly after I posted my article on Sparky – Alexa for Firefox Users!, I did a blog search because I knew I couldn't be the only one that noticed it. Daniel at The Wrong Advices beat me to it by hours. He recommends the SearchStatus extension instead, but I can't see why you couldn't run both. I am. A short time ago, Snoskred informed me that Firefox released an update and now the new extension is not compatible. Knowing Alexa, it'll be a month before they update the extension!

Thanks for dropping by RT and pointing out my about page, I have fixed it, thanks again for pointing that out. much appreciated.
I didn't want to drop a comment on your blog about it (I didn't know where I would drop it), but I wanted you to know about it. Probably more subtle than it should have been, but I knew you'd see it here.
Thanks for the mention. I tend to be a fan of multifunction printers because I only need to devote one space on my desk. Before, I had a printer, f*x, scanner and phone.
The question is targeted more at people who already have the other items as separate components.
