Ram at Technology Bites wrote about "8apps: Social Network For Productive People". Only four of the eight applications are available right now. At the time of writing, he had 50 invites available — all you have to do is make a comment for the post to get one.
Matt posted his "Week in Review" at Wild Bluff Media. Matt is always brutally honest with all of his reviews and I appreciate that even if I don't agree with his assessments.
What are the banks thinking when they do stuff like this? Check out the picture at Serendipity of an ATM machine placed too high on the side of a building for an average person to reach.
Matt at Blog About Your Blog posted "6 Great Tips for Hosting a Blogging Contest". These tips are great! I have logo contest going, but I have only received two entries, both from the same person. I need to publicize it a little more and extend the deadline.
Dawud Miracle wrote "Why building Website Traffic Is About Content And Relationships" and he's absolutely right. Comparing quantity (produced by social networks such as Digg and StumbleUpon) with quality (traffic coming from top bloggers), I agree with Char at Essential Keystrokes and would rather have 100 quality visitors than 1,000 or more social site visitors.
I need another external drive for backups, so naturally I was interested in the specifications for the Cooler Master case at Computer Mobile Corner. Of course, I didn't realize it was just the case until I did a price search. Obviously, I didn't look close enough the first time I looked at the post.
Yong Kai-Loon wrote that "we must have our own hobby" at yongkailoon.com in reference to some of the more expensive hobbies in Malaysia. He provided a few pictures of RC (remote controlled) cars being used at an event he attended. This kind of stuff can get kind of expensive if you're into it like a lot of hobbyists. I find it fun to watch and that's about it.
Skeet at Skeet's Stuff wrote about an event called "Sunset on the Beach" in Maili, on Oahu in Hawaii. I spent about 18 months on Oahu while in the military and I have no idea where that is. Hawaii has some of the best beaches in the world and I've been to many of them, just not on Oahu.
Kelly Cho wrote about the 7-Elevens that were being temporarily disguised as "Kwik E-Marts" in promotional preparation for The Simpsons movie. She posted a few pictures at Catch a Falling Star to show that she bought some Simpsons look-alike products while shopping at one of them.
Bobs (someday I'm going to have to ask about the extra "s") doted over his first newborn son at ReformatThis. I know the feeling, even if has been over 21 years since my own son was born. Enjoy those first few years while you can, Bobs!
