After dealing with a few things that I didn't want to deal with today, I don't have the wherewithal to even try to work with sponsored posts today.
I found out my car battery was dead this morning. Apparently, my son had taken something out of the glove compartment when I first got sick and failed to close the door properly as well as hitting the lever for the windshield wiper. No one noticed when it happened and it sat like that for at least two weeks. I had to call one of my sister-in-laws (who doesn't live in this compound) and have her husband (Gerry) come over in his van. He had no jumper cables.
I needed to get my pay from the bank and get a haircut. Gerry took me to the bank and bought jumper cables from an automotive supply store nearby while I was inside. We then went to the barber shop.
Gerry and I came back to the house, charged my battery for about 20 minutes and then jumped it. No problem. Then I and a brother-in-law (June) left to pay bills, get groceries, and pay the remainder of the tuition fees for my son and his cousin on the old Subic Bay Naval Station (now called Subic Bay Management Authority/SBMA or Subic Freeport Zone).
All of this took more than eight hours. My left lower leg, not completely recovered from what it went through in June, throbbed all day. When I got home, I was tired and had to elevate it. I fell asleep. My son got home about two hours later and woke me up.
And this, my friends, is why I hate paydays.
