My forced time out caused by an injury/illness that lasted for almost three weeks made me neglect things I shouldn't. This is one of them. The format isn't changing but I'm limiting the drive-bys to 10 blogs per day. I should be able to manage that amount very well. 10 per day equals 300 per month (in a 30-day month) and 3,650 (non-leap year) blogs per year. Not a bad count when you think about it. Please enjoy the posts I link to in today's…

Blog Drive-Bys

Julie at Irish Gift Idea announced her first blog contest to give away a personalized Irish Pub Sign with the optional hanging name plaque. I'm not entering the contest. What would I do with that kind of sign here in the Philippines? My relatives and neighbors are confused enough as it is.

Billy Mac reviewed my blog at Critique My Blog shortly after I got ill and I haven't had the inclination to mention it until now. I already thanked him on his blog.

Lola Basyang is a Filipina who lives in the United States. She keeps tabs on the Philippines and she may have found my blog that way. She only writes about things that interest her. That's totally understandable. After all, her blog is titled Ang Mundo ni Lola Basyang (The World of Lola Basyang). I do the exact same thing with this blog.

Do you like unique T-Shirts (Tees)? If so, look no further than Upstairs Antics. Check out the "Comma Sutra". If you can't figure it out, you're not old enough to buy it.

When it comes to stocks, I'm a clueless person. This is not the case at My Trader’s Journal, where the author obviously knows the ins and outs of stock trading. Check out the AT&T review. It's all Greek to me.

TM at El Comentario Diario wrote about the London police foiling a terrorist attack. Apparently, someone turned a Mercedes into a car bomb. What a waste of a Mercedes. They couldn't use something like an old Yugo, could they?

I have never read about a 40-year old single woman freaking out as much about mice until I read the article at 40s Singleness-Living "The Secret". As a man, I probably will never understand this particular phobia. I mean, I don't even have to touch one — I can aim pretty well with my foot and can send a critter flying out the door.

Sera at Cultivated By Design explained, very briefly, why letter spacing is important. Imagine seeing the banner in question in other places. How many times would it take you to see something like this before you would start wincing on a regular basis?

Snoskred wrote a pretty in-depth article (with pictures) about why she loves her Roomba automatic vacuum cleaner at Life in the country... I wish I had one myself. It would make life so much easier for me right now.

Out of curiosity, and because my wife hasn't started menopause yet (at 45), I visited Menopause Lifestyle to see what the blog had to offer. After reading the latest article on Ovarian Cancer, and perusing other articles, this is a resource I think I should come back to on a regular basis. I need to be prepared for her change of life. I've heard some really scary things about that period of time.
