Baby Steps
That's what it feels like I'm doing: Baby steps. About an hour ago, I had an enormous craving for a cup of coffee. So I hauled my carcass out of bed and hobbled out of the bedroom, down the stairs, and toward the kitchen. It suddenly dawned on me: My son had turned off the hot water side of the water dispenser because I hadn't been drinking coffee for days (like two weeks to be exact). No problem! I dispensed the room temperature water into a ceramic cup and popped it into the microwave, setting it for a minute and a half.
That's when the pain started. It's amazing. As long as I was walking (if you can call it that), the pain was virtually nonexistent. It was the standing in one place that really hurt. Anyway, I quickly removed the steaming water, mixed in the coffee, sugar and creamer, and headed back upstairs to relieve the stress I had just put my lower left leg through. Not all of the swelling is gone — that little spot, smaller than my hand, was causing me grief.
Over the past couple of days, I've been purposely getting out of bed and doing things in the bedroom to stress my leg a little at a time. Regardless of how much it hurt, I needed to force some fresh blood into the area or it would be a month before it would heal. Recovery time from each session has become shorter and shorter. It only took 10 minutes to recover from this morning's ordeal.
My goal is to be back on my feet completely on Wednesday. I want to catch up on everything and write like a madman with a sense of purpose.

Get well, RT. You're right. One step at a time. Soon, you'll be blogging like a mad man!
You know you could have a tropical disease that really needs a lot of hospital tests. It could be very serious. I had one 15 years ago, I went too a doctor and listened too him and after three weeks my wife took me to a hospital and I had something completely different than what the doctor said I had.
RT buddy go see a doc just to be on the safe side. I am sorry to hear that this is still bugging you. I will keep you in my thoughts for sure my friend,.
Thanks, Dick, Justin.
I've been looked at and prodded enough to know what's going on. This was supposed to take a month to heal (it stretched the skin so tight that blisters formed). I'm pushing it under three weeks.
Well, you sound much better than you did last week. You know what to do and it appears that it's working. Get back on your feet and back to feeling good again. You are missed RT. :)
Like you said – baby steps…don't over do it and you will be fine.
cheers,
Dear RT, I hope you would be better now. You have Dad Steps now

Well, not too sure you should stress you leg, but I know doing a little leg stretching every now and then would definitely help. Cheers!
