I have added a new contributing author to the blog. His name is Scott Sheaffer (you'll see posts by him that say "By Scott"). Me and Scott go back a long way. I met him more than 12 years ago, when he was a contributor on my BBS.

With a background in Christian theology, Scott is going to be sharing some of his thoughts as part of his journey on the path to enlightenment (and maybe other things he hasn't mentioned yet). Scott is not a clergy of any kind — he didn't pursue theology. In fact, he's a director at a huge company in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. He has experience in biochemistry, management, information technology, and was even a vice president of another company before moving back to Phoenix.

I realize the blog will not be as personal as it has been, but since Scott thinks a lot like I do, you may not even notice it's him writing until you look at the by line. I believe this is a temporary situation. Once Scott gets used to doing it and responding to comments and feedback, I think he'll want to set up his own blog and do his own thing. Blogging is addictive.

Please give him a warm welcome and enjoy what he has to write about. (If he writes enough, I might even be able to slip away and do some guest blogging for others.)
