More of my Technorati fans and blog commenters are the target of today's…

Blog Drive-Bys

There's a story about a bikini at BirdFight that costs $245 USD and from the tone of the author's writing, I agree. That bikini better be able to cook my food and clean my house for that price.

How about another website for a blog competition? If you haven't noticed that I'm Blogging To Fame then you might not notice that I've nominated my blog for the Blogging Awards With A Twist. Check out the site, just in case the competition interests you in any way at all. You do not have to comment for me.

Pearl at ::Interesting Observations:: is contemplating moving from blogspot.com to wordpress.com and considering her domain name. As I commented on her blog, if she doesn't mind setting it up, the cost is cheap enough and she'd be happier with a self-hosted blog.

I always enjoy a blog that's dedicated to nothing but humor. The One-Stop Levity Hotspot is such a blog. I enjoyed the first joke of the most recent post and wish that I too could lick my eyebrows.

Syafrizal wrote about UltraVNC at Syaf The Geek which reminded me that I need to install it on my own as well as my wife's cousin's computer in the U.S. to fix some issues she has. Actually, I need to install it here and explain the installation over IM to her. Silly me, I can't install anything on her end until a VNC-type of software is already in place. Fortunately, I have experience (even though it was two years ago) with this software.

I like looking at art of all kinds and I appreciate the effort that goes into it. I think I could browse a large museum an entire day. Thankfully, I can save myself from going places by blogs that publish art, even photographic art like that published at Photos from northern Norway. Another art site to add to my feed reader!

Maki (not a girl) at Dosh Dosh wrote a comprehensive article on long tail keywords that anyone interested in optimizing search engine traffic for their blog(s) should read. It's pretty in-depth, so be prepared to spend some time reading it. I brushed over it, knowing full well that I can return to it at any time (it's in my feed reader) and it's definitely worth reading more than once.

Every once in a while, Jillian at CAUTION: girl underway writes such a gem of a post that I can't resist reading about her personal experiences. I don't whether to laugh or be sympathetic to her plight. As her sister put it, "Wow, she was a mutant!"

Lorna just published some blog tags at Webgrrrl.net that she found interesting. If you don't know what blog tagging is yet, you'll soon find out. The most interesting to me occur when you create a short, question on your post, including a link to one of the recipients posts, and publish it — the ping shows the complete question (the tag) and usually generates a response from the recipient in one way or another. Here's an example (I already know the answer, but it's just an example): Lorna, For what specific reason do you blog? The world is waiting on your answer.

Justin posted his thoughts about Paris Hilton going back to jail at The Sanctuary. This is an adult blog, so be aware of collateral adult images you might see while perusing it.

Chris, while over at Blog-Op (only one of his three excellent blogs), mentioned that for a second time, his web host had been down due to a power issue. I wonder how many reasons this web host will give him before he jumps ship and looks for another one, kind of like I did a little while back? I think the third time's a charm. It already happened twice. How much are you willing to bet that it'll happen again, very soon?

I read Jo's article about the "dofollow" tag on Jo's Web, just as I read about it on other blogs. This time, however, I noticed the link to Randa Clay's images for it at Randa Clay Design. I don't know why I didn't see it on other blogs. Maybe it's because I'm not looking for images when I browse a site.

I just finished going through the last of the commenters up to and including March 1, 2007. I will be digging out more for the next batch. Comments started increasing in April, so it should be a lot of fun reading for me.
