A play (pun intended) on Jack Torrence's typewritten lines from The Shining (1980) that read "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy."

Writing posts is like play to me and I need to get some work done. Although I would love to shirk my responsibilities, read and write for 24 hours a day, I simply can't do it. It's almost 3:20 am here and I'm still awake. I have to take care of college business (for my son) and pay some bills before I can come back and play again, and it all has to start happening within a few hours.

I'm extremely lucky that I can sleep an average of 6 hours or less a day for days on end and still function like a normal human being (do you call this normal?). There's 101 things that I need to get done, here on the blog, that I just simply have to put on the back burner (that one at the neighbors house because all my back burners are full) to take care of the drudgery called life.

I'll be back to do it some more this coming evening, so your hopes that I might disappear forever have been dashed. Short of a typhoon, or a power outage of immense proportions, nothing can stop me from continuing to march in a forward direction.

For those who are awaiting a response, a review, or a good cursing out, I will be back in top form very, very soon.

Update 2:40 pm, same day: I'm back! I'm responding to comments and email right now. I had an article in my head before I went to sleep, but that bugger decided to vacate the premises before I woke up. I have to go back through comments to see if I can entice it to come back to me.
