I want to be one of the top three favorited blogs on Technorati and it's for a purely altruistic reason. Why the top three? When you click on "Popular" at Technorati at the 800×600 resolution (which a lot of people still use), only the top three websites/blogs appear above the fold.

So what's my unselfish reason? Before I tell you, I have to tell you that anyone who's had any contact with me knows that fame and fortune are always secondary thoughts in my life. My blog is my outlet for everything I believe in, whether I'm right or wrong about something. I'm a very opinionated person but I'm not rigid. I have an open mind and I'm always open to suggestions and criticism (even if I get irritated by it).

My unselfish reason is "link love". Oh c'mon! I know you hate that phrase as much as I do, but that's the best definition I can think of for publishing external links. Being at the top of the Technorati list means that I'll get the most traffic you can get from that list at Technorati. That translates to more traffic to every external link I publish. You don't believe me? Look at your statistics if you're running a blog that I've linked to recently. Tell me that you never get a referrer from here and I'll believe you. Chances are, though, you've received at least one visitor from my blog.

I currently have 225 fans at Technorati and am number 93 on the list. Number three on the list is Make Money Online with ProBlogger Blog Tips, by Darren Rowse, with 1421 fans. Who do you think promotes other blogs more, he or I?

I always reciprocate on favoriting, so it's not a one-way proposition. I'll make you a deal. Favorite me and pass the word onto others. In return, I'll favorite you and link to you. I'll even write a review for your blog, if you'd like. You don't have to link to me in return or do anything else. If you have already favorited me, you should already know that I've already linked to you in the past. I'll still do a review if you ask me for it.

So… get over there and favorite me!
