Comment for a Stumble
Similar to my recent Comment for a Digg offer, here's another one that's equally as powerful.
Leave a comment here with a link to a story you want stumbled and/or reviewed, stumbled at StumbleUpon, or a story you’ve stumbled upon and want to promote. Not only do you get a valid link back to your blog or other kind of website when you put your URL in the comment form (because I use a “dofollow” plugin), but I will personally look at your story and stumble and/or review it. Of course, I reserve the right to not stumble something that I personally find offensive or consider as nothing more than spam. I’m pretty easy, though, so that should rarely happen.
Be sure to tell me whether or not to add a review. I can do that too!
Note: There's a link to this post in the upper right sidebar, above the other link widgets, so that you can find this post easily when you return.

As they say in the movies, "fugetaboutit". I get stumbled and dugg all the time. It's starting to get so common that I don't know what my real traffic numbers are.

well, I think I have an idea… the fact that you're stumbling and reviewing all those sites and blog posts, that should give you some "authority" on stumble upon, so when you stumble a post, it is more likely to get a nice amount of traffic! am I right?
I don't know how their algorithms work, but I'm sure it's a combination of reviews, stumbles, how many friends you have, etc.
Whatever the combination it is, it seems to be working. Same thing happens on Digg (where I have over 100 friends and 60 or so that befriended me).
Friend power is the strongest power on social sites.

seriously, since I started using SU more actively, and you started stumbling my posts, I saw a HUGE increase in my traffic, it's not even funny! I owe you a lot more than one!

By the way, wondering something, your wordpress says i can write the word "than x", or it might be flagged as spam
You can still post the comment when that flag comes up. It just stops the comment spam. Any of it will go through, but I agree, it's a little startling to see it pop up the first time.

Question on Stumble: Do you know what could account for sudden slowdown in Stumble traffic even when there are several people stumbling your articles? It seems like it just dried up. I wonder if it is simply content related or if it is related to who's stumbling or maybe it's from getting some thumbs down. Any info on this topic? Thanks
I think it has a lot to do with who stumbles you. I have several regular Stumblers who seem to generate a lot of traffic for me. If someone new to StumbleUpon stumbles me I don't seem to get the same response. There are also one or two regular Stumblers who maybe are less respected on SU that don't generate any extra traffic for me.
Just my thoughts and observations. Who really knows eh?
