I'm quickly running out of time, so I have to make this shorter than my usual. The power will probably be out for 10 hours again today and I don't want to drag this out and finish it tonight. Something could come up (and usually does) to prevent me from getting it done in a reasonable amount of time. Before I nod off at the computer, here are today's…
Matt pointed to trailers and wrote a little about "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End", the 3rd movie in the series, at Wild Bluff Media. Now there's a movie going onto my DVD list for when it comes out. I won't go to a local theater. You'd have to be here to understand.
Aileen over at An Apple a Day wrote about how she got over stage fright when addressing an audience of at least 1,000 marketers. Good for her! It took me several years in the military and forced positions at various podiums to get over it. I was least 30 years of age by that time. What comes natural to some is very difficult for the rest of us.
Maki added color choices to his and Daniel's (The Wrong Advices) new ProSense theme at Dosh Dosh. Of course, I didn't know this until AFTER I submitted the ProSense theme page to Digg. If you want a nice-looking theme that's AdSense ready, you should really take a long look at this one.
I just read an article about the immigration reform bill at Edge Media. He's right. It won't do any good to add more administrative functions to BCIS (Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services). BCIS is overburdened, under funded and poorly managed. I know from experience.
I thought I had seen just about every monetizing scheme for blogs that exists. Gary Conn dot Com has one more that I can't imagine doing. Create 100 blogs to pull in one US dollar per day each. Yikes! I'm glad monetizing is an after thought for me… I don't have to feel guilty about not trying something like this.
I watched a video cat fight on Leaning Straight Up that's nothing short of amusing. I know someone's going to comment on how evil I am but every time I see Rosie, I just want to say "moo". I have flame-retardant underwear on right now.
Lorelle on WordPress wrote an interesting article on deactivating plugins before an upgrade and checking for comment spam immediately afterwards. I didn't have that specific problem. My problem was that my connection died while I was uploading the files. My plugins worked the first time I activated and I didn't find any extra spam. It had to be dumb luck.
