Comment for a Digg

I thought about this for a while and came to the conclusion, why not? Here's how simple it is.

Leave a comment here with a link to a story you want submitted to Digg, one that you've already submitted to Digg, or a story you've "dugg" for someone else and want to promote. Not only do you get a valid link back to your blog or other kind of website when you put your URL in the comment form (because I use a "dofollow" plugin), but I will personally look at your story, submit and/or digg it. Of course, I reserve the right to not digg something that I personally find offensive or consider as nothing more than spam. I'm pretty easy, though, so that should rarely happen.

You can verify that I've dugg your link by looking for RTCA on the "Who Dugg or Blogged It" tab of the Digg post.

I will be doing something similar with StumbleUpon tomorrow, so stay tuned for that.

Note:There's a link to this post in the upper right sidebar, above the other link widgets, so that you can find this post easily when you return.

This is a great idea, thanks! Here's a link to my post about making a few extra dollars (or pounds) with Bucks4Banners:

RTCA, you've already Dugg this one, but the extra exposure would be nice and of course the dofollow link is appreciated too.

    Thanks!

    • Hey, no big deal. I dugg a lot of links yesterday (my time). I wonder how many people will take me up on this? I'll just have to wait and see, I guess.

My blog is all about jokes, one liners, funny quotes, and stories etc..
And http://the-one-liners-blog.blogspot.com/2007/05/this-is-crime-story.html is a story that i submitted to DIGG(people have sometimes called me out a freak-to-the-a$$ for that ! though) .. I heard someone say PITIABLE when he read it.. But i sure look to a few DIGGs and a little traffic to my Blog

  5. What a great idea, and DoFollow is a incredible plugin.

Kudos for a great idea, wouldn't mind a digg check it out!

Interestingly I did receive a negative thumb on SU, but a self stumble / review still sent a reasonable surge in traffic.

Working my way down the list

Hi, nice idea of yours. As for me, I'm spreading the word about a free Wordpress theme that people could really enjoy. Here's the digg url :

    http://digg.com/tech_news/Download_MyJournal_a_light_white_3Columns_minimal_theme

It comes out of the box with loads of features like language translation, quick social bookmarking, random header image, seo optimised and lots more and I'm also glad to help anyone needing help with it.

It would be great if you could send in your feedbacks about it :)

    • I already dugg it earlier. I'll have to go back and check it out and comment on it. It will have to be later because I'm knee deep in another task.

Can I get a Digg on

I'm trying to see if those tips actually work :)

  17. Scott says:

    Thanks guys,

You two are quite on the ball with your Diggs. Thanks for your help :)

I'll have to see if it goes anywhere or not. If so great. If not, no big deal

P.S. You have "c@@l" (replace @ with o) as a flagged word? You get much spame with that?

    • Yes, I do. You can use it. Read the text. You just have to click the button to make it go through.

      • Scott says:

Yeah, I saw the text. I was just more interested in the fact that it was a suspect word than actually wanting to use the word :)

But I guess you get some spam saying "Check out this c00l post"

Makes sense when I think about it

How about making a friends network at DIGG and DIGGING all the posts (or the maximum number one can!) for the person.. rather than DIGGing individual posts by collecting links (like this)..

Please visit and comment at http://techxtreme.blogspot.com

    • There already is a friends listing at Digg, so making a new one there wouldn't do any good. I've been thinking of a way to collect post URLs for an aggregator of sorts where members could see which articles need to be dugg, stumbled or whatever, but it would take some work.

I think that Gmail is doing a good job of helping. Its been quite slow and inconsistent for me. I'm tempted to set up a client again, now that Gmail offers IMAP (at least I think that I read that somewhere).

      • I have no baseline to compare Gmail to right now. Everything is unstable. I think I'll be visiting Globe Telecommunications at the beginning of December, when I can afford to have two providers at the same time (just in case Globe doesn't work as advertised for me).
