I tried. I really did. Time wasn't on my side today and I didn't finish off the last few feeds from my feed reader as I had planned. Oh well, tomorrow's another day! Here are today's…
Matthew posted tips by the inventor of chocolate chip cookies at eJabs. As soon as I saw the word "microwave" in the article, I knew what was going on. That didn't stop me, however, from providing some good-natured harassment.
One of the disadvantages of linking to a Google or YouTube video is that they can get taken down for various reasons, or are just not available due to technical difficulties. I clicked play on a blank video at Cruftbucket and nothing happened. The title says what happens when you're bored at work, so I thought that this might be a misguided attempt at humor. I checked the video at Google Video and it said "We're sorry, but this video may not be available.". That's exactly what happens when you're bored at work!
Mick at Mick's World dished out some "straight up (link) love" and now I'm returning the favor. Enough said.
Stine contemplated and defined her version of "the good life" at Mother's Home. What she said is more than just true for her. It's a fact of life. Many people never comprehend how well off they are by being right where they are right now.
I really hate it (not really) when Peter at Necessary Skills makes me read three articles and he still hasn't finished saying what he has to say! Dagnabit! My glass is half empty and I need 72 car races to fill it up! (You have to read the articles to understand THAT convoluted sentence.)
Spud over at Nice4Rice just delved into the land of WordPress plugins. He may never be the same. Spud reviews a lot of websites (including mine) and you really need to take a look. Get yourself noticed and he'll review your blog too!
When he's not out web surfing and harassing respectable netizens like myself (sure, yeah, right), jer from the Nyquil Network does neat things that can really help people out, like his recent howto article on web video aspect ratios. It's definitely worth bookmarking (starring in Google Reader) for the day when I decide to start uploading video files to places such as YouTube. Don't hold your breath on that last part though.
Hermie from One Day At A Time really gets around. The last time I looked, he was in the Philippines where he lives. Now I go check him out and he's in Mexico. Mexico! That's a long way to swim, Hermie!
HMTKSteve wrote a short article on the mix-up between enGadget and Apple a couple of days ago at Ramblings from the Marginalized but I missed it somehow, until now. His observation was pretty good and probably spot on. The question remains. Who was the culprit that instigated it and who profited from it? It sure the heck wasn't me!
The Curmudgeon blew a gasket over at Second Effort after Blogger's new autosave feature was introduced and he lost valuable time as well as text. I have a suggestion for him. Dump Blogger and leave the hosted blogs to themselves. Get your own domain, your own hosting service, and work with your own blog software. It's the ONLY way to be sure that nothing like this ever happens again.
Josh at the Secret Life of J Radke wrote a completely Christian article about "The Pit of Faithlessness". It's an interesting article and an interesting confession that anyone who believes in God should read, not just Christians.
I just listened to a song composed by Siu at The Shoe. He wrote the composition in collaboration with a university musical director for his first wedding anniversary. Like everything else in the last week or so, I missed it until now. Happy Belated Anniversary, Siu.
Jonathan-C. Phillips recounted his experience at a "Millionaire Mind Intensive Seminar" at SmartWealthyRich, as well as providing a video of himself drawing the associated contest winner's name. Is it me, or was that a French accent? Oh well, never mind. I went to a similar kind of seminar more than 10 years ago and had a similar kind of experience, culminating in walking out when the sales pitch got too thick for me. I probably lost out on a good opportunity, but then again, maybe not since I can't even remember the name of the company involved.
It took me a few minutes, as a last thing to mention before ending this for the day, to find the blog where I saw it earlier. Don't you hate that? Not remembering, I mean. I found it at Urban Iconoclast where Edward spoke of American stupidity. The car he mentioned, getting ready for production in India, is powered by compressed air. I read about it while it was in development. I don't care if it's ugly! I want one. I believe the Indians have now far surpassed the greedy Americans with innovative automotive technology.
