The Rainy Season (Monsoon) Is Upon Us

The monsoon was predicted to start in the Philippines between mid-May and the beginning of June. As of today, May 21, I think it has officially started. Heavy rains have occurred at least three times today.

I like the rainy season for one reason: It's cooler weather. Sure it's wet and miserable if you have to be out in it all the time. I don't have to be out in it at all. Anyway, that's what umbrellas are for!

My son hates the rainy season because he has to go to school (college) on SBMA during the rainy season and gets wet all the time. Boo-hoo, I say. I like it!

   I'm not sure I would like the rainy season. I lived on the coast of Oregon where the average rainfall was around 92 inches a year. I didn't care for it. It was cold most of the time too.

      It doesn't get cold here. The dry season is so hot and humid, I'll take the rainy season any day.

   Reminds me when I was in the Philippines. I was born and raise in the Philippines, so this monsoon thing is no big deal.
