Here's what happened yesterday:

We left our house at 12:30 pm yesterday, drove to a sister-in-law's apartment and snatched her husband (his name is Hilario but he goes by Gerry) to be our driver. There's no way in hell I could drive in Manila. Those people are crazy. You'd have to be there to appreciate my kinder words than the truth.

We drove to Manila where she got on her Philippine Airlines flight at NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport) and then drove back. Because of traffic, the delay while she was checking in, and bathroom stops, the round trip took about 10 hours. I got back to the house, responded to one comment and then went to sleep. I had a huge headache that just wouldn't go away.

My wife is still on the plane en route to the U.S. right now. She should be arriving in Los Angeles in about three hours. Her final destination of Phoenix will be another three hours on top of that. Add another hour to get to the apartment she'll be staying at. So… I should be hearing from her in about seven or eight hours to let me know she's there.

The headline is just a wee bit misleading. The partying part is a non sequitur. I'm not a partier. It does makes a little sense in that I'm going to be blogging and reading more actively because I'll no longer be frequently interrupted. I haven't had much time to keep up with everything since I announced my wife was leaving me and especially the last few days, after I declared my time out.

I have quite a few tasks ahead of me and I plan to get most of them done today and the rest of them done tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see if I can catch up on everything in a reasonable amount of time.
