Time Out

I'm taking some time out from blogging too much. You may or may not have noticed my attempts to slow down over the past few days. My wife is headed back to the U.S. in less than 48 hours and I won't be seeing her, except through the IM, in 6 months to a year. I think I need to spend as much quality time with her as I can before her flight.

So… if you only see one or two posts for two days, you'll know why!

   I forgot to ask in your previous post about your wife leaving to work.
   Isn't there local work available, I understand it probably would not pay the same but then you wife would be home and no travel costs either.

      Well, she's already gone, but I'll answer your question anyway. She is over the max age limit discrimination here of 35 years of age. She couldn't get a job if she wanted to. Even if she could, she wouldn't make more than $200 USD per month and she can take home double that amount per WEEK in the U.S.

         What do you mean over the age - is 35 too old to work over there?

            The job market is so small that they don't hire anyone above the age of 35. If you start before then, you can continue, but first hires have to be 35 or less. We moved here when my wife was 44 and I was 45. Fat chance on getting any kind of work unless you start your own business.
