I am also participating in this One Day Blog silence… but actually, My blog has been silenced for 2 days now.

I understand and respect the sentiment behind it…

But… the Blogosphere is not one entity. And all of us don't adhere to somebody's diktats. I don't have to show my sympathy or empathy to victims of any disaster on anybody else's terms.

Again, no disrespect intended, but I personally see no point in this self-imposed silence. Not blogging for one day is no big deal for a lot of us. Hell, I've not posted entries for weeks at a stretch, so somehow, the idea didn't appeal to me.

Nevertheless, I was angered and outraged at the Virginia tech killings just as as am angered and outraged at so much violence in all parts of the world.

So on that note, I pay my condolences to all families who've lost their near and dear ones in this tragic incident.
