I must have a brain tumor or something pressing up against the intelligence center. My brain housing group must be not be grouped properly. Or something.

After telling people over and over again that Google AdSense was my only option for advertising because I can't get the right kind of PayPal in the Philippines (no bank account linking available) and that mail delays are incredibly worse than anywhere in the world, I remembered something very vital.

Call it a duh moment, a blond moment (I am blond, turning gray), or whatever. Or even a bunch of those moments. My pension gets deposited every month in a branch of the Philippine National Bank which happens to be in New York City. The branch has a routing number and account numbers just like any U.S. bank. It's not "quite" the same in that it only receives payments and can't send payments.

A PayPal account for the Philippines is no good for me. But a PayPal account for the U.S. is good for me! Here's the deal: I'm a U.S. citizen living in a foreign country. I am still allowed to use U.S.-based services like this. I just have to have a U.S. address and telephone number. YES! I have both via a very close friend of mine. His first name is the same as my middle name.

To make a short story long, I closed the PayPal Philippines account and opened a PayPal United States account. Now I can use PayPerPost, Text Link Ads, or any other alternative/addition to Google AdSense. I am a happy camper.

To think, all I had to do was REMEMBER that I have a bank account branch in the United States (as well as in the Philippines). Why did it take a ton of bricks falling on me (figuratively, of course) to REMEMBER it? I must have had more pressing issues, like a CRAPPY WEB HOST!
