You know, I read Bush-bashing topics at least once a week, whether I want to or not. A recent post Bush Bashing Bumber Stickers posted by Edward reminded me what I wanted to say about it. No offense, Edward, I'm not picking on you.

I've heard phrases that coincide with things of this nature: Bush lied, war for oil, Bush is a warmonger, and on and on. Not too many days ago, people were hollering for his impeachment. I've hit the end of the line. Enough is enough.

I am not a Bush-lover or a Bush-hater (at least not the kind of bush we're talking about). I didn't vote for him. I didn't vote for anyone. I haven't voted since I voted for Ross Perot a few years back. You might think I'm anti-American for not voting, but I knew someone would get elected and I didn't like any of them.

I don't want to try to go over this in a time line of any kind because I haven't been following politics. I do want to touch on a few points though. First of all, the accusation that Bush lied. Bush has a cabinet of several people that he works with. He also has the Joint Chiefs of Staff (the military basically) to contend with. If he lied, they all lied. Do you really think that they'd all go to bat for a lie?

What about the weapons of mass destruction? We'll never know because Bush was forced to give Saddam Insane time to comply with some resolution. There was plenty of time to move anything incriminating out of the country, probably into the desert of Syria. Of course, we're only talking about certain WMDs. Let's not forget that they found barrels of pesticide in the ammo dumps which, coincidentally, can be converted into a nerve agent in a short period of time. We can't call those WMDs though because they hadn't been converted yet.

What about ties to terrorism? Supposedly, there was no link between Iraq and Al-Quaida. Okay, let's push that one aside and say there was no link. Let's not forget, though, that they found out that Saddam was supporting the families of suicide bombers, or did I just imagine that part? It doesn't matter. If you watch the History Channel in the US and anywhere it's broadcast, you'll learn a lot of things about Saddam the average American doesn't know. He was worse than a terrorist who attacks other countries. He was a terrorist in his own country. After forcing a relative out of the presidency he took over. Before that, he was an assassin for the government who specialized in all kinds of torture. A specialization that he passed onto his sons who would pull innocent people off the street just to find out what kind of torture was the most effective.

People talk about impeachment. What purpose would it serve? An impeachment doesn't remove a president from office. It just makes them look bad. Clinton was impeached. Another president in our history (and I suck because I can't remember which one) was impeached. Shut up with the impeachment crap already. By the time anything could even be close to being put together, it would be time for the next president to be elected.

None of that matters. It doesn't fit in with the liberal agenda. Notice I didn't say democrat. There are liberals in all the political parties just as there are conservatives in all of them. The mass media in the US continues to bash Bush because it's part of the liberal agenda and it will happen even after he's replaced by the next President of the US. Heck, they'll probably blame him for things 20 years after he leaves the White House.

I'm not a liberal, as you can tell, but I'm not a conservative either. I'm just sick of all the crap I have to wade through to get to the real news. There are much more important things going on that need to be dealt with. You know, I want to hear good things some of the time and not always the bad things. Not only that… but every time I see Bush-bashing going on, I think about all the dirty laundry being aired to all the other countries in the world (those with televisions anyway). If they started with an impartial opinion of Americans, I'm sure they think we all suck right about now.
