I purposely delayed writing this post for almost 24 hours because I was finishing at the beginning of my DATES, after midnight, instead of at the end, before midnight. Notice I didn't skip a DATE while skipping almost a full day.

Through Hermie at One Day at a Time, I learned that Aileen Apolo of Google Philippines wanted to get the word out to Filipinos that Google Mail is open to everyone now (no invitations or mobile phone needed). She has her own personal blog at An Apple a Day where I found an amusing article about "Blogger Lingo 101".
Baxter at The Far Corner had a Commodore flashback. I commented that I already had one when I went to Symbol Engine to check out QuickStats because Hari at Hari's Corner mentioned it. Symbol Engine has a link to C64Music on the sidebar. Being the former Commodore BBS sysop I am, I couldn't resist checking THAT out.
Jonathan-C. Phillips at SmartWealthyRich .com pointed people to Scott at One Million Subscribers who compared Darren Rowse of ProBlogger, Jeremy Schoemaker of ShoeMoney, and the evil John Chow of John Chow dot Com and explained that John will not become a real Dot Com Mogul until he shaves his head. This ad, which showed up on John Chow's page, is priceless:

Kevin at UPC - Tech Blog explained why he MIGHT be a customer of iTunes by the end of the year due to EMI's recent announcement that they will sell music without DRM, although the DRM-free music will cost more. It doesn't matter to me. I still wouldn't buy that crap (excuse me) from iTunes, even if I could.
Ms. Latina Renee at Ms. Latina Renee Enterprise, LLC wrote about using Internet-based television ads to connect with prospective clients. Hmmm… I don't have deep enough pockets even for Internet ads on the Internet, so this is way out of my league.
Jeremy at Corporate Presenter talked about a new word, "blego" (blogger ego), that he picked up from Ken at TECHNOSIGHT. I kind of like that word. Well, here I am stroking both of their blegos at the same time.
Steve at StickyFigure mentioned the graphic imagery of a pie and a "delectable slice" putting his five year old son in the "mood for pie". Never mention pie to me. Now I'm hungry for some pie and I just ate dinner an hour ago!
Ketyung at TechChee.com wrote about, and provided pictures of, a new gadget designed by a student that can use solar energy to extract moisture from the air for drinking water. It looks to be about the size of a small briefcase. I want one. With all the humidity here in the Philippines, I would never run out of fresh water!
Delicolor at Shades of Grey described a 4-day mini-cruise he was on. He can keep the cruises to himself, thank you. I spent 6 months at one time cooped up on a US Navy ship. I *NEVER* want to go on a cruise. I would rather cut off my toes one by one.
Shrir at The Plugg plugged (pun intended) a Boston-based band called "Walter The Orange Ocean". I followed links to arrive at CD Baby in an attempt to listen to some of their music and I was not disappointed. They purport to be "a piano-based singer/songwriter rock group with influences including Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Elton John, Radiohead and Rufus Wainwright". Their music accurately reflects that statement.
