Blog Drive-Bys for 2007-03-29
Don't mind me. Something inside my skull is malfunctioning today and I don't know what it is. Maybe I need to consult with Sylar to get it fixed. Anyway, here's my latest drive-by:
I checked out the photos at A little piece of me but didn't comment since there already seemed to be a sea of comments.
Andy Beard wrote another Twitter article, but I can't get into Twitter. I don't even like instant messengers.
Corey at Another Opinion Among Many mentioned a funny Internet Explorer error dialogue box, but I couldn't add to it. I think they're all funny. I think Microsoft is funny.
I really can't comment on Chris' caterpillar at Autofocused. Insects just don't do anything for me, even if they do squirm pretty good.
Chris at Blog-Op pointed out the importance of proper anchor text for links. It's too bad it's something I really suck at.
Paul at Blogpaul reminded himself who to give credit to.
Comedy Plus asked what kind of dogs were shown for her Wordless Wednesday. I don't know the answer, but they sure do have some buck teeth on them.
Mick at CruftBucket posted a video advertising the iPhone. I think I would rather have a regular cell phone.
Edge Media posted a blurb on "Planet Earth" on the Discovery channel.
Matthew at eJabs suggested we might use business cards to promote our blogs. Too bad it won't work for me in the Philippines. I take that back. If I lived in Manila, it might work because that's where the heaviest concentration of Internet users are.
Lyndon at Esplanade posted pictures of funny signs I actually haven't seen before. In other words, I haven't seen them anywhere else. I like the speed limit sign where you get to pick your speed.
John Chow offered a new source of revenue you really need to check out. Unfortunately, I can't get involved with it. I have no way to receive payments from anyone but Google right now.
Goldcoaster mentioned slow PS3 sales in Australia. I have news for him. PS3 sales are slow in the US too, unlike the Nintendo Wii which doesn't stay on the shelves long at all.
MacBros at MacBros' Place commented on some weird dude that wears a web cam on his head and it's a live feed. What some people will do just to get attention is beyond me.
Mawe at Mawe's Adobo ranted about his sister-in-law's late night partying habits.
Stine at Mother's Home! mentioned three different things but I'm miffed at her. She said she only had 3 readers. I know I'm at least #4.
Jer at nyquil.ORG mentioned that he loves the TOP PARTS of POP TARTS. I thought he was going to say something else, but my hopes were dashed.
Lee at Online Marketing Blog wrote about the not-so-friendly actions of their hosting company.
Chris at Thermal tagged me to write a meme (what?) about 3 things. I really want to, but the left hemisphere of my brain hurts right now. Maybe later.
Paul at twocentblog gave the blog a facelift, but I think he forgot something — like the title maybe?
Edward at Urban Iconoclast told us of a video rental place he checked out.

Why not try alternatives in addition to adsense? This should widen your income basket dependency.
Lyndon, it's a local limitation. I can't use PayPal among other things (Philippines). I don't have a bank account in the U.S. anymore, so my options are very limited. Heck, the last check sent to me took 3 months to get here and the previous one didn't arrive at all. It took me a month to set up Google through my direct deposit account because it doesn't go through a regular bank.
Can you get paid by anyone besides Google RT?
Right now, I can only get payments from the U.S. government (my pension) and Google. No one else. I have a U.S. contact that can do some things for me, but I'm not in a hurry to go that route. What I make off the blog above and beyond web hosting is all gravy to me anyway.
Maybe someday…
Thanks again for the drive-by. I always Digg you when you do this. A few cents here and a few cents there. Have a great day!
Ahhhh! I'm Hit! LOL
Thanks for the
linkdrive-by.Thanks again for the plugs dude…Hey I wonder if YOUR READERS KNOW that they too can blog at http://www.twocentblog.com
If you lived in Manila, at least envelopes wouldn't be a problem.
I really must steal this idea one day….
Cheers for the multitude of links, I shall dig out some more landscapes for Autofocused
Interesting that you were put off commenting on Claires, by the number of comments already there: I do the same on most blogs, anything around the 30 comment mark and it often doesn't seem worth bothering. I will say for Claire though that she usually answers them, and I always try to make the effort too-not that I hit double figures often
PS3 sales suck in the UK too – serves them right, overpriced piece of c…
Steal all you want, I've got more where this one came from.
I wasn't put off by too many comments. I actually had nothing to say, and that's a first.
Sorry to have you miffed at me – I have posted an official apology, although I'm thrilled that my readership has increased to 4… Must pay more attention in the future! Thanks!
Interesting 'twist" on the usual list of blog that a blogger found interesting and wanted to pass on to the readers. Thanks for a great list I will be back to get your list of Drive Bys again. Thanks
