Since my Internet connection got hijacked by my son and his classmates for about 6 hours just after my last post, I decided I had some catching up to do.

One thing I try to do daily is blog rolling. No, I'm not referring to a service that you can sign up for. I'm talking about surfing all the sites in my blogroll. The key word here is "try". I'm not always successful for a variety of reasons: 1) Bad connection on my end, 2) Bad connection on their end, 3) Staying at one place for way too long (but that's not a bad thing), 4) My brain gets overloaded and I have to stop, and 5) I get stuck on other websites that I frequent. Anyway, this is how I find out about some of the newer niftier websites — by blog rolling.

A second thing I try to do is to visit the sites that I have new feeds for. I use Google Reader, so I can just keep adding and adding website feeds to it. I'm trying to avoid actually doing the blog rolling thing to blogs that haven't added anything since the last time I was there. I'm adding feeds today as I go through my list.

Third, and finally, I like to visit the websites of the people who comment. Some don't do enough to promote themselves (I said some, not all, so don't get in a huff). I can't always comment in return. I really have to have something to say in order to do that.

The most important part about all this that I try to do daily is that I'm trying to show my respect for the thoughts of others. No man is an island and I am merely a pebble.
