I posted previously that I believed I got hacked. Well, I did, but only after the WordPress distribution server got hacked and WordPress version 2.1.1 was released to everyone with a huge security risk.Their story is: WORDPRESS 2.1.1 DANGEROUS, UPGRADE

No kidding? After I was told about popups on my blog by a conscientious observer, I found my wp-cache-config file had an extra line of code which loaded an iframe to a website that was pumping eight popup windows every time someone arrived at my website. I also found the same code in a backup file.

This is no joke. If you upgraded to 2.1.1, upgrade again to 2.1.2 immediately.
