Attack Of The Ninja Mosquito
For the past two days, there's been a mosquito in my room, zooming around and irritating me. It hasn't made contact with me yet, but the kamikaze dives it's been making toward my face are just too much. Mosquitoes don't usually bother me very much, but they do when I'm trying to concentrate on what I'm doing with the computer.
I chased this thing around for two hours. Every time I got close, the mosquito would duck behind a door or under the bed and disappear. It's still whizzing past me every so often. I don't understand why it doesn't just bite me and get it over with. It obviously has the advantage. I can only conclude that it's toying with me. Thus, I dub it the "ninja mosquito".
Mosquitoes go on their excursions around dawn and dusk (sunup and sundown), so it's safe to open doors and windows at night (and risk the entrance of the bugs attracted by light) and during the day. I think mosquitoes that get trapped inside a house with the lights on get confused as to what time of day it is and they never stop hovering and looking for an opportunity to stick you with their proboscises.
Arrrggghhh… gotta go. The ninja mosquito is back and it looks pissed.
