Yep, today was payday for me. In one hand and out the other, as the saying goes. I bought an inkjet printer for 4500 pesos (about $83 in US dollars) and put a 2000-peso down payment on a flatbed scanner (it had to be ordered from their Manila, Philippines office).
Why? So that my son wouldn't have to go to an Internet cafe anymore, just to print his assignments. But that's only one of the reasons for getting them.
I'm waiting for me and my wife's W-2 forms from last year to be scanned and emailed to us. Then we're doing our taxes using one of three software packages. We have to print the signature page of both the federal and state tax forms, sign them, scan them, and finally email the software data file along with those scanned pages.
