Today is me and my wife's 22nd wedding anniversary. If you take into account the number of marriages that fail within the first few years and couple it with the fact that I'm Caucasian and my wife is Filipino, you can say that we tremendously beat the odds.

My older son is 26 years-old. He is my adopted stepson. He was 2 years-old when I and his mother met and 5 years-old when the adoption went through. Right now, he's in Germany with his wife who's in the U.S. Air Force. I received an email message from him earlier this morning. My younger son is 21 years-old and going to college at the Global City College on SBMA. He's at school right now.

We don't have anything planned for our anniversary this year. We don't plan to do much of anything with our anniversaries until our 25th in three years. The silver anniversary will probably include something unusual, but I don't know what it is yet.

Having said all that, I'm probably going to spend the rest of the day away from the computer and with my wife, doing the things that she enjoys.
