The Emperor Wears No Clothes
The complete book, The Emperor Wears No Clothes is available at Jack Herer's website. It's an interesting read on the history of marijuana, more appropriately called cannabis. What really caught my eye were the biblical references to its usage.
Although I never went beyond experimentation at an early age, I have known and worked with casual users of cannabis. I also worked with casual users of alcoholic beverages. While I was in the military, I spent several years as a substance abuse control officer. What I have learned through both experience and history is that cannabis is not harmful to anyone. I repeat, ANYONE! Alcohol abuse is harmful and legal whereas cannabis use/abuse is not harmful and illegal. The hypocrisy of the government is astounding.
Although I've been retired from the military for more than eight years, and am currently not employed by anyone, I have no wish to break the laws of either the US or the Philippines. It's illegal to grow, sell, or use cannabis in both countries. I do, however, eagerly await the day when cannabis is treated like it should be and not the way it has been.

RT Cunningham, I'm glad to hear you have affirmed what so many of us know. This is the truth and its time that congress recognizes this. Gyuri, your negative comments regarding 'loss' and 'addiction' are ill informed. Marijuana has no addictive properties. No new receptors are created such as heroin or any other opiates. Knowledge about marijuana is vital to its break into mainstream society.
TEWNC certainly is a good read, i have been in the lucky Position to meet Jack Herer during the 2003 Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam, he's just an awesome Guy really. And the Sensi-Strain they named after him .. jummy.
