Yesterday, after typing my previous post, Typhoon Milenyo snuck up on us. It hit Manila and Olongapo and caused power outages in both. We were without power for 27 hours. It was humid, and without even a fan sleep was difficult.

I thought our move from house to house would be delayed, but the typhoon left this morning and now it's clear again and we have power and water. It was downgraded to a tropical storm before it left the island. It's now on it's way to Viet Nam. There were 16 confirmed deaths caused by the typhoon.
