In Doom, a group of Space Marines are sent to investigate strange events that took place at a research facility on Mars. They end up being slowly killed off by the monsters at the facility.
As far as being a sci-fi action flick, it was okay. I watched it with my son once and by myself once. The settings pretty much match the settings from the original Doom game, but this movie is far from being the same story. There were no teleportation pads, the monsters didn't come from hell, the movie was filled with cheesy one-liners, and the cast was filled with untalented actors.
The only part of this movie that I enjoyed was the first-person shooter scenes (very short) that were reminiscent of the game, but without the background music from the game.
Doom stars The Rock, Karl Urban and a bunch of other forgettable actors and actresses. Here's a related video:
