Free Web Hosting

As a rule, I don't recommend a free web hosting solution for anyone. FriHost is an exception to that rule. You get 250 megabytes of space and up to 10 gigabytes of traffic per month. You're allowed to use PHP, Perl, and Python for scripting and are allowed the use of MySQL databases.

There is no advertising on your personal website, but this is how it works: You post on a regular basis to their forums, which are full of advertisements, in exchange for all the above. Hey! They have to pay the bills somehow, right?

Their service is my fall-back solution, just in case I can't get decent web hosting here in the Philippines next year.

   I have to agree. I signed up for hosting about a year ago and cannot complain about the service provided. The site "just works". I had free hosting with another host with similar features and their servers were quite a bit faster, but then they became unreliable, so Frihost has been more than just the backup space. Its been the place I park my site until I get enough saved for good paid hosting again.

      They still appear to be in service. I haven't been there in quite some time.
