After an uneventful trip of over 24 hours, I'm back at my mother-in-law's house in the Philippines. My house is still not finished, but at least the roof is on and the first coat of paint is on.

The contractor expects the interior to be done by Friday. I'm not holding my breath.

UPDATE:

When I typed the above, I was still extremely tired from the trip. Well, after a good 7 hours of sleep, I'm back to add more.

The inside ceiling is in place and all inside and outside walls have a coat of paint. The cabinetry is being built "in place". The floors are tiled and they're tiling the staircase. It looks really good but still needs a lot of work to finish it up. The bathrooms are almost done — they still have to put the plumbing in.

The outside has to be cleaned up. I can't describe the mess that's there. Empty cement bags, snack wrappers, etc. are strewn all over.
