The rains subsided enough for the construction crews to get a lot of work done today. They almost have the trusses for the roofing in place. One of the rock walls is almost done. Two more days of decent weather and both WILL be done.

The roofing crew told us that the tiles for the roof would be put on Saturday, as long as the weather holds out. Many of my brothers-in-law were hired by the contractor to sand and paint as soon as the roof is in place.

Landscaping is also being done now. Believe me, landscaping is a mild term. I would call it more like terra-forming. They have to move dirt from the front to the back in order to level everything out since the house is built on a slope. A person would never know it was built on a slope by the time they're done moving the land.

I promised a friend I would get him some pictures of the construction in progress. He's curious because he may be moving here someday. He's a bachelor with no family ties, so this would be an excellent place for him to retire.

My wife and I are both flying out on Saturday night and will arrive in Phoenix on Saturday night. My son will be at the airport in Phoenix to pick us up. We'll be in Phoenix for two weeks and unless I have access to an Internet connected computer, I won't be posting until I return. Of course, I won't know until I've been there a couple of days. My wife's cousin should have one available and so should my son. The problem is getting at them. My son will be packing and preparing to move to Germany where his wife will be stationed. Her cousin is usually home at night, but it's crowded in her apartment.
