I've kept quiet for the past few days for a variety of reasons. The typhoon moved on, but the monsoon rains continued (and are still continuing). I really couldn't go out and do the things I wanted to do. Because of the numerous brownouts, my online activities were virtually nonexistent. I played a lot of chess to pass the time (I don't gamble).

My son's girlfriend decided to break up over some stupid thing that he said and he's been depressed for three days. Actually, it was what he sent by text message and not what he said in person. Anyway, it was a really lame excuse for a break up and she broke up with him by using text messages. Whatever… there's more fish in the ocean.

Needless to say, construction has almost completely stopped. The roof on my house is still not on and the top floor is full of puddles. The work on the rock wall bordering the creek is not being done because they can't pour the cement.

Oh well. Life goes on…
