There are many ways to do this – we can buy things like vacuum cleaners, air purifiers and filters but it will cost us some money. There are other practical ways which do not require a lot of spending.

- Avoid smoking indoors.
Better yet, simply avoid smoking by all means. Cigarette butts and cigarette ashes thrown or scattered inside the vicinity of your house will make your place dirty and make it smell like a burned tire. Smoking likewise pollutes the air and will greatly put your health in danger.
- Keep house plants inside your home.
Green is good. Decorating the house with artificial plants makes your home look nice, but you need real house plants to make way for clean air. Plants absorb carbon dioxide and releases oxygen which can make the air clean and fresh.
- Store paints, pesticides and chemical in secure, airtight containers.
The smell of paint can make you dizzy. Chemicals such as ethanol, phenol and formaldehyde can cause migraine, dizziness and asthma attacks. It also has lead, which can be very dangerous if you live with children. Pets are also at risk when cans of paints are scattered everywhere.
- Avoid cooking with wood or charcoal inside your house.
You can enjoy roast beef cooked in a charcoal grill, but don’t do this inside your home. Smoke will accumulate inside your house if there is no proper ventilation. In the long run, it might suffocate you and your family.
- Practice proper garbage segregation and disposal.
Placing the garbage inside the premises can make your house smell awful. Bacteria thrive in waste materials and cause bad odor. Make sure you throw your garbage outside. Segregating garbage according biodegradable and non-biodegradable materials is also recommended.
